Installation

System Requirements

  • OS: Linux, macOS, or Windows (via WSL2)
  • Node.js: 20.x or higher
  • npm: 10.x or higher
  • Docker: 24.x or higher
  • Docker Compose: 2.x or higher
  • Git: 2.40+

Step-by-Step Installation

1. Clone the Repository

Terminal window
git clone https://github.com/mahoosuc/mahoosuc-operating-system.git
cd mahoosuc-operating-system

2. Install Dependencies

Terminal window
npm install

3. Configure Environment

Copy and configure the environment files for each service you need:

cp .env.example .env
# Edit .env with your values

4. Start Services

Terminal window
# Development mode (all services)
npm run solo:up


# Check everything is healthy
npm run solo:status
npm run solo:doctor

5. Verify Installation

Terminal window
npm run aios:verify

Claude Code Integration

Install Claude Code and enable the plugin:

# Install Claude Code
bash install-claude-code.sh


# Enable global commands
# See TODO_ENABLE_GLOBAL_COMMANDS.md for details

Regenerating Documentation

After making changes to agents, commands, or products:

npm run docs:generate
